Max + Jenni
I genuinely enjoy the clients I get to work with and take something from every wedding, but this couple really impacted me. Our meeting was rather fate like, after they ended up needing a last minute photographer. After I spoke with Jenni on the phone, I began to get a sense of the type of couple they are: one that constantly serves those around them and cares deeply. Even by her profession, the bride lives fairly selflessly and the touches she added throughout the day really played homage to that. Doing others hair, gifting her mom a bouquet, asking me to take photos of each family so they could have family photos to keep, constantly asking if I was fed and needed anything :-). And her groom is the perfect match. The way they honored his loved one at the end of the night had me actually bawling. But that's just the tip of the iceberg for the day they had. Up on Lutsen Mountain, they rented a gorgeous house just steps from the ski hills. We drove down to the lake at Bluefin Bay's ceremony site for the nuptials and then headed up the mountain for vows and my favorite part: every guest taking the alpine slide down the mountain. The crazy part was actually that they closed the slide, everyone tried to convince them to open, and only until a faithful brother in law talked to them, did they have a change of heart. It was incredible and so deserved for these two. They ended with two incredible chefs cooking dinner at the house and of course, a staple of the north shore, Betty's Pies. It was magical and I truly felt lucky to get to work with these two.
