Rachel and Phil put their guests' experience on the top of their list at the Van Dusen Mansion.
Bringing the East coast to Minneapolis, Rachel and Phil got married on the same day as The Kentucky Derby. They encouraged guests to be festive with the classic Kentucky derby attire, sear sucker and big hats. Their wedding was FULL of thoughtful touches around every corner of the gorgeous Van Dusen Mansion, including: fashion illustrations by the talented Claire Ward that each guest could have drawn, handwritten place settings with memories and photos of each guest, themed appetizers highlighting significant chapters in their lives, a champagne toast to her grandma right after the processional, and Ben and Jerry's under the stars. It was honestly magical. I have so many favorite things about this day, but what takes the cake is how they look at each other. It's a playful love and everyone there could feel and see it. Including when Rachel made her grand entrance to her groom by dancing her way down the aisle and singing to him.
